Her best-known works include Larva and Krug. Alikadić also wrote about Sarajevo’s experience during the Bosnian War of the 1990s: Grad hrabrost (The City of Courage) and Knjiga vremena (Book of Time) express the city’s struggle during that period. Her books and poems were translated into English, German, French, Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish and Italian, bringing her writing to readers in several languages.
