Barbara Lenk, an American attorney and jurist who served on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, died on May 21, 2026.
She was 75. Born in Queens, New York, on December 2, 1950, she was appointed associate justice of the court in 2011 after nomination by Governor Deval Patrick and confirmation by the Governor’s Council.
Lenk received degrees from Fordham University, Yale University and Harvard Law School. After graduating from law school, she joined the Boston firm of Brown, Rudnick, Freed & Gesmer, where she practiced civil litigation with a specialty in First Amendment issues.
