Artur Dmitriev, the Soviet and Russian figure skater and coach who won two Olympic pairs titles, died on June 28, 2026.

He was 58. Born in Bila Tserkva in 1968, Dmitriev competed for the Soviet Union, the Unified Team and Russia, and became the only male pair skater to win Olympic gold with two different partners, Natalia Mishkutionok in 1992 and Oksana Kazakova in 1998.

He also won Olympic silver with Mishkutionok in 1994. Dmitriev was known formally as Artur Valeryevich Dmitriyev and later worked as a choreographer and coach. He was married to rhythmic gymnast Tatiana Druchinina and had a son, Artur Jr.
