Cyrille Schott, a French civil servant who served as prefect of Hérault from 2007 to 2008 and as a puisne judge of the Cour des Comptes from 2009 to 2013, died on April 4, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born in Drusenheim on October 27, 1950, he studied at the Institut d’études politiques de Strasbourg and the École nationale d’administration. He also served as a squadron leader in the French Armed Forces and later became a colonel in the military reserve.

In 1982, he joined the office of President François Mitterrand, where he organized office meetings and supervised affairs with Andorra.
