Samuel Tak Lee, a Hong Kong property developer, died on May 24, 2026, at the age of 87.
He was identified in reports as a Hong Kong property billionaire and was born in April 1939. Lee was educated at Diocesan Boys’ School in Mong Kok and later earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and environmental engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1964, followed by an MBA from Harvard Business School.
He returned to Hong Kong to join Prudential Enterprise, the real estate company founded by his father and uncle, and took control of the business from his brother in 1985.
