Born in Coulommiers in 1929, he built a career of more than 60 years in radio and television as a presenter, journalist, writer and producer. From 1977 to 2014 he hosted RTL’s Les Grosses Têtes, then led the television program Le Petit Théâtre de Bouvard from 1982 to 1986.
He later presented Allô Bouvard on RTL from 2014 until his retirement in 2025, and was also associated with outlets including Europe 1, France Soir, Le Figaro, Paris Match and Antenne 2.
