Nanni Cagnone, an Italian poet, died on April 4, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born in Carcare, Liguria, on April 10, 1939, he was also a novelist, essayist and playwright. He debuted as a poet in 1954 and went on to publish books including The Disabled Youth and The Oslo Lecture.
Cagnone worked as a senior editor at Lerici Publishers in the 1960s and 1970s, edited Marcatré and Design Italia, later founded the publishing house Coliseum, and taught aesthetics. He also contributed to newspapers and cultural magazines.
