Miroslav Košuta, a Slovenian poet, playwright and translator, died on February 2, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born on March 11, 1936, in Križ by Trieste, he was a younger representative of Intimism and Socialist Realism. In 2011, he received the Prešeren Award, Slovenia’s highest cultural honor, for his poetry and his contribution to the preservation of Slovene in Italy.
