Janice McNair, the American businesswoman who co-founded and owned the Houston Texans, died on July 14, 2026.
Born Janice Suber in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on September 30, 1936, she later attended Columbia College and met her future husband, Bob McNair, during her college years. She worked closely with him through much of his business career, including at Cogen Technologies, and helped found the Texans in 1999.
After Bob McNair’s death in 2018, she took over ownership of the NFL franchise and remained its owner until passing it to her son, Cal McNair, in 2024.
