Born Robert James Kevoian in Los Angeles on December 2, 1950, he was a 1973 graduate of California State University, Long Beach. He began his radio career at WMBN in Petoskey, Michigan, in 1979 after touring the United States for three years as sound engineer of The Young Americans. Kevoian later teamed with Tom Griswold on a morning show in Petoskey and went on to co-host the nationally syndicated program broadcast from WFBQ's studios in Indianapolis.",
