Damian Ball, a British rugby league footballer and coach, died on February 5, 2026.
Born on July 14, 1975, he played as a loose forward and could also operate at second row. Ball was captain at Halifax from 2006 and signed for the club after a six-month sabbatical from the game.
His previous clubs were Dewsbury Rams, Hull Kingston Rovers, Rochdale Hornets and York City Knights. Alongside his involvement with Halifax, he held teaching posts at North Halifax Grammar School and The Brooksbank School in West Yorkshire.
