Charlie Moore, an American baseball player who spent 14 seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers and one with the Toronto Blue Jays, died on May 24, 2026.

He was 72. Moore played in Major League Baseball from 1973 to 1987, primarily as a catcher and outfielder.

He made his major league debut with the Brewers on September 8, 1973, and went on to appear in parts of 15 seasons in the majors. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Moore attended Minor High School, where he played quarterback on the football team before choosing professional baseball over a football scholarship offer to Auburn University.
