Born in Uccle on October 30, 1951, he was ordained a priest in 1982 and served at the Paroisse de Blocry in Louvain-la-Neuve. Delhez took part in the Christian and citizen forum RivEspérance and was a Catholic voice in the media, including Dimanche, where he served as editor-in-chief, as well as France 2 and RTBF.
