Alan Ridge Australian politician dead at age 91

Alan Ridge, an Australian politician, died on March 6, 2026, aged 91.

Born in Perth on July 18, 1934, he attended John Forrest High School and worked as a clerk before entering state politics. He was a Liberal Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1968 to 1980, representing Kimberley, and later served as a minister in the government of Sir Charles Court.

At the 1968 state election, he defeated sitting Labor member John Rhatigan and became the first non-Labor member for Kimberley in 44 years.

Keith Alan Ridge (18 July 1934 – 6 March 2026) was an Australian politician who was a Liberal Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1968 to 1980, representing the seat of Kimberley. He was a minister in the government of Sir Charles Court.
